Jour 17 / Day 17 : On the beach...
Aujord'hui, on est alle a la plage en voiture, et sa a prix 2h 00. Apres que on est arive a la plage, on a joue sur les vagues toute le midi. apres on est retourne a la maison, et mon pere pouvait pas rentre parce-que il devait reste au travail.
Kelwyn:
Today we went to the seaside. It was AWESOME! But i got a bit hurt on the back and my shoulders hurt like mad. The waves were so cool and big. Then we went back home and ate some well made hotdogs, MMM!
Here are some cool pics from today about which Michelle (Daniel's mum says "here are just a few of our first seaside trip. Kel loved the waves (the water was very warm), body surfing, and digging for sand crabs, and making castles":

Well it sounds like the 2 hour drive to the beach was well worth it - mais comment tu t'es fait mal au dos, Kel? Et les épaules - à cause de vos batailles (bagarres?) dans l'eau? Well, it sounds like the hotdogs were just the ticket to set you boys back on the mend, eh! Who was the expert cook, I wonder? (You can see I wasn't there; they'd have been burnt!).
Dan, I hope your dad (pop, pops, papa...:-) is managing to spend some time with you guys - we know full well he really was looking forward to having you back and to experiencing life with Kelwyn (I wonder if he is now reconsidering such foolish thoughts! Ahhh! Absence makes the heart grow fonder ... not!). (Just kidding, guys! We really are missing you both... a bit :-). Question for you: Have you met anyone over there from Peckland?

Delighted to hear from you. I so wish I could have been on the beach with you. Was the beach packed, quiet or deserted? Is it a sandy beach like La Baule or a rocky beach like Le Croisic or an American beach like we've never seen before??? Do tell. I hope you did not see any sharks like they did in Les Sables d'Olonne. I thought I'd packed some suncream in your toilet bag Kel. It shows how disgusting our summer has been so far. You normally would never get sunburned, just progressively accustomed to the sun. I'm sure you'll soon be "as right as rain". Gigi, Cathy & Marco te font de gros bisous. Try and drop them a line when you get a fraction of a second in your hectic timetable. Thanks again to Michelle - and Steve whenever possible - for entertaining you so well.
